LS28 Repair Cafe

In February we launched an LS28 branch of Leeds Repair Cafe, open every 4th Saturday of the month 2-5pm.

Leeds Repair Café has been running in the city since February 2016.

The rationale is: it’s good to fix things rather than chuck them away; it’s good to learn new skills; and it's good to save money! Visitors bring their broken items: clothes, IT stuff, toys, electricals, white goods, homeware, etc.

Together with skilled volunteers and their tools, people then start making their repairs. People often learn new skills, and have a laugh too! If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a drink or snack, or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job.

If you have a faulty item we will try and fix them and if you have the parts then we will fit them for free!

The repair cafe is completely free and staffed by volunteers!

Please note - we aim to repair items as quickly as possible (subject to demand and fixer availability) and there will be refreshments available too!

If you’re interested in helping out – either as a volunteer ‘fixer’ (electrics, electronics, woodwork, seamstress, jewellery, or anything else!) or volunteer ‘helper’ please do get in touch as soon as possible by emailing us on office@pudseycommunity.org.uk or sending us a message through the PCP Facebook page.
